My 1972 Dodge Dart (slant 6 225) has had a problem in starting after running for 30 minutes or so.
So, I had the carburetor rebuilt: then I replaced the fuel filter: then I rerouted the fuel line: then I put in a electronic ignition.
When I took it to a mechanic, he told me it needed the head rebuilt, So I had the head rebuilt.
Afterwards, it still had the same problem, even with a brand new gas pump.
As a hunch, I had the ballast resistor replace.
After driving the car for forty mile and turning a key off for ten minutes, it refused to start for about 30 minutes, then it started!
Does anyone have any ideals why this starting problem still happens?
