Looking for a 72 date code 400 to stroke. No junk, not paying a fortune. Driving distance from Southern Pines, NC preferred. 28387

Does it have to be 72 dated coded? Got a friend who has a 71 400.

'72 was the first production year of the 400. So if your friend's 400 is cast in '71, it's for a '72 model...

I have a 73 Newport with a 400. Not certain of the production date on the engine since it's still in the car. I am planning on trying to start/run it then pull it apart.

I have one...hard to El if it is 71 or 77. I have decided after stroking the motor in my Demon I am going to do the same in my Dart. Selling the 440. Everything I had was date coded for 72 and would like to stay with that
