1972 Duster , starting to tear into the build

What do you do when you change out fenders and find there's a bigger gap on one than the other at the door, while still having the hood Grill and everything line up
 

What do you do when you change out fenders and find there's a bigger gap on one than the other at the door, while still having the hood Grill and everything line up
It helped mine when I moved hood closer to cowl , of course you have to fight hood first and get it close and were it shuts and as close to cowl as possible and get that done first , then this allowed me to move fenders back more to help with gap , but I had to flex rear part of lower fender first and secure before securing upper fender bolts front to back , took fenders off several times shimmed as needed or removed shims , I had bad gaps until did all this but best happened when securing nuts on lower part of fender first (leave all other bolts loose) , I used a pry bar off back of tire to push the lower towards door then tighten and this closed the gap better , and then upper rear laid down better to top of door were the one nut is under rear top of fender is located , then I was able to flex rest of fender in towards hood and secure ,
