1972 Duster , starting to tear into the build

-
Probably my best bet is to get mine redone at booster Dewey I will give them a call on Monday I think they also do master cylinder
I got my master cylinder from Dr. Diff. and it was perfect with the original lines hooking up , just adapter plate to mount and will not rust since its aluminum , and got away from the original heavy ones from factory

found this today , rusted circuit board to metal frame , gauges look ok but already had a new circuit board bought , I cleaned the rust off metal dash frame but its bare metal now with no type of any coating as I believe it use to be some type of galvanized , may need to do something about that or replace frame

I did a body colored dash once on a '70 /6 Duster. I retrofitted a Rallye dash from a '71 340, added Rallye wheels, color matching (though not factory) stripes, and sold it to my brother for about 1/2 what I had into it because he wrecked his DD and needed a new ride NOW. (This was 1987.) It brings the interior and exterior together. Of course, I'm not aware of CryCo ever doing that, so professional opinions may vary.

Nothing is originally to this car , it was green and so was dash ,, this one will have white seats an black carpet and trimmed with the red color , dash pad is black so I think it should look great

small progress , fuel tank installed ,,dash frame is in ,,started on new glass , installed wing glass , went with tinted smoke on all rear an side glass , should look good on the candy red color when all is done, may get more of the exhaust mocked up tomorrow

exhaust is all mocked up an tack welded , just need slight adjustments and weld up all joints completely , went with flowmaster 50 series mufflers ,, Need to put rubber fuel line on to fuel tank from line and should be about done on the bottom side , getting close to firing it up , do have to drop column one more time as steering wheel is upside down , but shouldn't take long , then I can install the dash cluster , at that point could fire it up for the first time , little more tweaking first but should be running next few months and get ready to paint afterwards I hope
