I am pretty sure I have decoded the fender tag vin# on my 1972 plymouth duster that I just bought correctly....but there are still a few of the numbers that I just cant make any sense of. so I figured I would ask the mopar community for some help on this one!

the fender tag vin# on my 1972 plymouth ( GOLD ?) duster is as follows........

M21-N95-R11-V5X-Y84-EN2-V4Y-U-A64-B51-G11-H51-GY4-D2Y3-GY4-310-566303-E44-D34-VL29-G2B-350765

So hopfully someone can give me an accurate break down of what the fender tag vin number is.

I would like to know what the original color was and interior options and things of that matter aswell. I am new to the forums so if there is any usfull information anyone has that I could use, feel free to post it. Also, swing over to my profile and check out my photo gallery and see the pictures of my duster I have posted up!, Thanks guys ( DusterDude72)

Hey thank you so much for the quick reply and all the info. It appears to be the same as factory going off of your description. Can I ask how it is you decoded it? I "decoded" it myself but all I cam up with was the engine, radio, year and make and model, gold duster and some other odds and ends but I did not know how to determine the interior color and exterior color and door panels and bench seat and what not. The bench seat is a slightly different shade then the back seat ,so I believe it may have been swapped out. Also ,the door panels are black so it may have been swapped. And the vinyl top and side molding has been removed aswell. Any info is appreciated, Thanks again

galen white books. bench seat is not original, door panels have been changed along with the other items you have mentioned as well.
