I have a standard bore 1973 block.

Also have a pair of -587 "J" 340 heads and 2 '73 340 cranks w/ dampeners.

I'm in North Florida, I purchased this block in the Bradenton Fl area several years ago.

What is this specific date code before I go look ?

Your 73 wouldn't originally have been gold with a white stripe, white (or off-white) vinyl roof, white (or off-white) bench seat with fold-down armrest interior, three on the floor, manual steering and manual disc brakes, no A/C, 3.21 open rear, would it? If so I have the 340 block that came from that car.

I cannot figure out how being "cryptic" will enhance the likelihood you'll find what you need.
