Thanks. AMC bolt pattern with 727 guts. That is awesomeI love AMCs... i wish i still had my rebel or my sisters rebel...
The 74 uses a mopar trans doesn't it? mine was a '67 and it had a FMX or something.. it was horrific

. Found the correct ones (the car came with a few sets) and installed them last night
I hope you had help getting those doors off...or an engine hoist and a sling!Made it to another show, Javelins unite!
Got the dash put back in, door hinge bushings installed. Can’t figure out how to get the trunk springs to work, thinking the spoiler is just too heavy.

I was able to hold it up with a jack and manhandle it to the floor and back to the jack without issueI hope you had help getting those doors off...or an engine hoist and a sling!
for the deck lid hinge, it looks like the adjustment was at the other end of the slot. maybe it slipped?
Nice steering wheel, have one sitting here for the Hornet if I get motivated someday
Keep up the good work!

Yup, floor jack is how I did Challenger doors. Weight has to be close.I was able to hold it up with a jack and manhandle it to the floor and back to the jack without issue
The trunk spring adjustment I can't seem to find any info on, I've had the adjuster at both ends of the slot and it doesn't seem to make any difference. My pops has a 72 and it uses the old style rods, turn the trunk key and it pops up a couple inches. Maybe the spoiler is just too heavy......
1974 (73 is the other style). I've got a manual somewhere, I've just got to find it.Yup, floor jack is how I did Challenger doors. Weight has to be close.
What year is your car? I "think" I have a 73 AMC FSM, maybe it's in there.

Great idea!if it's the weight of the spoiler then add a pair of 'modern' gas struts to assist the springs. the brackets would be easy enough to knock up
neil.
