1974 Dart Custom. Build thread.

I just got the Dart, and before this it was a 1974 Satellite 440, back in the 1990’s.

The 1974 Dart Custom has a 318/904 with 135k. A Magnum swap was in order, and the first mag was like:

The next one is like:

Just about ready for transplant.

I'm doing the same but juggling 2-(360) 5.9 and 2 440 builds.
Looks good! and best carb for a daily!
One of my 5.9's has a melted piston. The other is missing the heads and roller rockers. Got em both for free though.

Free is good!
It took me a minute to make a plan for getting the 318 out, 360 in, with the bad 360 on a pallet, and not jam myself in with the hoist, stand, and 3 engines.

Space is a commodity, especially when everything is tore down and has to be organized while waiting sometimes 18 months for the Machine shop.
I've had engines on stands in my kitchen during the winter, lol.
A 360 is going to be Just right in your Dart!
