Original drivetrain with 98,846 documented miles on her. Engine and transmission were rebuilt by seller (30 yr. Mopar racer/mechanic) less than 500 miles ago. You could drive this car cross country without any worries.
Engine: Workhorse 318 c.i. V-8, Originally a 150 HP 2-bbl engine, NOW 380 HP rocket on 89 Octane unleaded fuel!!! Standard bore, 9.2:1 compression flat-top hypereutectic pistons, Speed-Pro cast iron rings (.005" oversized), NEW Melling oil pump w/ Mopar P3690944 oil pressure relief spring kit installed, New Cloyes Double-roller timing chain/sprockets set, New Mopar 8-vane A/C water pump, 3 core radiator w/trans cooler, NEW Clevite Cam Bearings, NEW Clevite M-77 Rod and Full Groove Main bearings, NEW Mopar Performance P4120231 Hyd. Cam/Lifter package (284/284 dur/.484/.484 lift), NEW Mopar HD distributor drive gear. Edelbrock single plane Torquer intake manifold with NEW Edelbrock 625 cfm 4-bbl carb, NEW 3/8" mechanical fuel pump. New motor mounts.
Heads: Pressure tested, unported 915 castings, milled .030" on compression face and .010" on intake face, set up for Nascar Street Stock competition. 2.02"/1.60" Stainless valves, Five angle valve job, factory style 3/8" guides and umbrella seals, Comp Cams Chrome-Silicon single springs w/damper good to .525 " lift, Comp Cams Chrome-moly 3/8", 7 degree retainers and locks, Stock hydraulic 1.5:1 rockers and shafts, 5/16" pushrods, Fel-pro .038" compressed head gaskets. New alternator, voltage regulator and quad-pole resistor block. Battery is two years old.
Exhaust: NEW Hooker Super Competition 1-5/8" headers, 2-1/2 inch "X-pipe" and Flowmasters to 2" mandrel bent aluminized pipe over the rear end housing to the bumper with Mopar factory chrome exhaust tips. Sounds wicked!
Transmission: 904A 3-speed automatic, 2.75 low gear, Raybestos blue plate clutches and bands, Teflon accumulator seals, stock torque converter. Turbo Action CHEETAH Manual SP Valve Body is available with the car if the reserve price is met. I would suggest the installation of a deep pan/filter kit to increase the life of the trans. if you install a high speed torque converter later.
Quick ratio power steering and power brakes. New: front 11 front disc brakes, new calipers and pads, new proportioning valve and vinyl coated brake lines. 10x 2 rear brakes have new wheel cylinders and vinyl coated brake lines installed. Master cylinder and vacuum can were replaced two years ago by previous owner.
Body: Body work and Emerald green metallic paint job (Not original color) by previous owner 2 years ago. This car is very nice looking, "5-footer" if I had to rate it. Matte black 71 Dart Swinger hood scoops with chrome front edge moldings installed on factory hood with working chrome turn indicator lights. Minor rust in spare tire well (2" diameter spot) and some bondo under the rear window in the usual corner locations, a few paint bubbles on driver's side upper body on 'B' pillar. Floor pans, body panels, Torsion bar mounts and chassis sub-frames are rock solid! Front and rear glass was sealed with silicone by previous owner. I have a complete set of original factory stainless steel trim moldings (Very good condition and could be polished to Excellent) and locking clips that will go with the car. Bumper and chrome shine up nicely.
Interior: Factory green cloth/vinyl front high back bucket seats in good condition - No rips or tears. Rear seat needs an upholstery kit. The seams are splitting from UV exposure but all foam is in original configuration. Speedometer, interior lights and all gauges work well. (I have covered the car since I bought it but the damage was already done.) Cover is included in sale. Carpet is in good condition. The driver's side front carpet is fuzzy in the foot well area but no holes, passenger side and rear is in good condition. Head liner is original and in good condition. Door panels & Glass are in good condition, windows roll up and down smoothly. Seat belts in front can be finicky, you have to pull them out v-e-r-y slowly but otherwise work fine. Wiper motor is intermittently working but I have not had the time to figure out what the problem is. This car was factory equipped with Air-Conditioning. The A/C compressor was missing when I bought the car but the vents and plumbing inside the car are still installed.
Bottom line: This car is a blast to drive; always draws a crowd at shows and cruise nights and can outrun a 5.0 mustang all day long on 89 octane gas! This car will not disappoint you.
