I am trying to find a 8.25 or 8.75 rear that will work. Any help on what will fit the abody would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you have the large bolt circle (5x4.5) and not the small bolt circle (5x4). Also assuming that you're replacing a 7.25 rear.
8.75 will be small bolt circle unless it has aftermarket axles, was installed in A bodies late '65-'72. ($$) Bolts in with the right shock plates and u bolts.
An accurate 8 3/4" rear axle width list
8.25 will have large bolt circle and was installed in A bodies '73-'76. (less $$) Will also bolt in with the correct u bolts and shock plates.
Ford 8.8 is a popular swap and gives you the large bolt circle, and most likely limited slip and disc brakes. (can be had fairly cheap) Requires some fab skills.

All of these options will require a new driveshaft.
