Picked up this gem. All original, slant 6, 22,000 miles/36,000 kilometers. Going to prep the body for molding and pull the engine for some light machining/upgrades. Have an 8.75" on the way too. More to come soon

just got my new rear end, was trying for a 8.75" but i found a 9.25". with sure grip! and i think 3.25 gearing, which is not going to stay too long in there. flange to flange = 62 7/8" and perch to perch = 47 3/4". once i pull the current rear end i'll send them both to the machine shop and tell them to make the 9.25" same dims and the original one. bolt pattern is 5x4.25". maybe use the same axles if possible, re-spline them

Where did you find that rust free Dart in the rust belt?? What's the story behind it sitting somewhere for so long since it's hardly got any miles on it??

thats the million dollar question. i think it just sat and sat and sat and sat. only has 2 previous owners. the man i bought it from inherited it from his uncle i believe. but he had a few pro street cars and wanted to off load it asap, so of course i got an absolutely ridiculous deal on it. yeah its a little crazy to think that the milage on it. that is going to change. this will be my summer daily/promo car. plus it has the forged crank to boot. well from the block casting gusset/support behind the water pump, tapers up as it goes to the block. heres a pic.
