I've read many articles saying to use the Schumacher conversion kit and thought that it would be easy to get my hands on and install. Sadly after calling multiple distributors I've found out that Schumacher has been closed for a while now and no stores have any stock left of the conversion kits. Does anyone have recommendations on what I should do for engine mounts now?

Wow thanks for the insanely fast reply do you know if older K-Frames from years 67-72 will fit in or do I need to go with the 73-76 K-Frame
they'll work. 67-72 have the biscuit style mount, while the latter years have the spool mounts. Somebody here will most likely have an example of how they created their own mounts if you are into fabricating some yourself.

Does your Scamp have a front sway bar already? If so, your existing sway bar won’t fit with the the ‘67-‘72 k frame.

Oh yeah, welcome from another YVR’er.

The /6 to SB conversion mounts come up for sale here and there. I sold two sets this past month. If youre patient and check all the Facebook groups and the trader here you will eventually find some. Swapping the K-frame isnt too bad, and if youre pulling the engine anyway for a swap you might as well drop it all out at once.

Okay that's good to know I'll keep my eye out for a conversion kit but the engine is out already so swapping the K-Frame is no big deal it just come down to what is going to be more readily available for me.
