has anyone owned one or any opinions on these? i have a chance to buy one, the ad is..

Dodge Power Wagon 3/4 ton 4x4, 1978, dana 60 front and rear, selectro hubs, $1,200

buy it thats a deal if is not rotted out that pretty nice with a dana 60 front and a rear and its a 78 thats cheap buy it sounds nice got pics

no i don't got pics, its out of my weekly buy and sell, i thought it was a good deal, but had to make sure with my fabo friends

thats a hell of a deal and you might be able to get it for a little less if you ask the guy if he will take 1000 it would be nice im not sure but i think it is pretty rare with a dana 60 in the front as well in the back they usally came with dana 44's in the front and dana 60's in the back if that truck has the right motor it will pull a house down lol it will have a ton of power

naw a 383 or a 440 BIG BLOCK now that would be one hell of a ride

ya well i might have my dads 440 6pk in it for now cause he wants to hear it run so he said just drop it in your car for now while you build up the 383 so ya

that was my first truck the 60 up front is an unusual but a good addition the t case may need to be in hi loc if its locked out on the front when I pulled the front drive shaft I had to put it in hi loc so it would move I say this based on my experience that was a great truck though I miss it

You will have to put a bullet in that thing to kill it. They are one of the toughest trucks I have ever owned. The problem is the rust. The body will be gone before the mechanical parts ever quit on you.

i talked to my dad, and he said that from a car guys point of view it would be a bad first project (due to rust, and gas milage), and then he said from a dad point of view that he'll always support my opinions, so i guess i shouldn't because of the gas milage and rustyness

they had galvanized panels so there a lot that are prety rust free so i would listen to him and maby find another one. mine needs some rust over the rear tires but thats it. and my boss has two more like it. if you were closer to colorado i would sell you mine. i am asking $2000

power wagons are bad ***, my friend has a 78 power wagon 1/2 ton with a built 360....my favorite part of those trucks are the hoods, they remind me of a 69 road runner bird bath hood.

like stated before, the down-point was the quality of the bodies
