Was just one hood scoop (if any) listed as an option for a 78 roadrunner? We just bought a 78 RR, and the six pack hood on it does not fit real well to the contour, yet the owner says its OEM (its very glossy, makes me wonder). Also if someone knows a link to one that is correct, that would be great....

No six pack scoop (hood) was available after 69 from the factory. There was not any scoop available on a 78 that I've ever seen

Basically, no Aspens or Volares ever had a scoop option. Last year for "real" functional scoops was in '73, and maybe '74 Dart Sports. Even that had only 2 4" holes that weren't sealed to the carb/air cleaner in any way. (Not counting the new Challengers.)

The dual snorkel scoop from '72 Demons and '73 Dart Sports don't look bad on F-bodies!

The Six pack scoop may be an OEM "style", but as mentioned in earlier posts, it was only an option on 1969 1/2 440-6 Super Bees and Road Runners. And that was part of a complete, lift-off fiberglass hood. (Don't know if it was available with a Hemi.)

Thanks guys, thats the back-up I needed. Our Petty Kit car was basically stolen by a buddy's wife and sold to a boneyard that took the engine out and crushed it... happened over xmas, got the call last week... thats "what I get for storing it in our shop and only paying $300 for 6 months of storage"... quote. Can't relay here how mad I was. So this RR is a quick replacement.
