I just acquired a ‘72 Dodge Dart with a 82 360 v8, the manifold on it right now has a gap. I did some looking online and all I’ve seen is manifolds saying they’ll work with the 360 but still look like they’ll have a gap. Still doing recon on the engine and car itself, not sure if the engine had the headers changed out to a different style. If you know what manifold I need feel free to send links.

I’m new to the mopar world and would love any advice you can give.

So even with a gap like that I won’t have to worry about a vacuum leak or even oil leaking out on to the intake?

This is what you will find if you remove the intake. The "frown" above the heat cross over passage is there to act as a heat sink so the head will not crack in that area. It's not open to engine vacuum, or coolant and does not need to be nor should it be covered, or filled in. There's not an intake made that covers that "frown" up.
