I have for sale a complete, turn key, 1988 Daytona Shelby Z NHRA stock eliminator car that runs in the B/FS class. It is the 2.2 Turbo intercooled version with an automatic transmission. It is painted the older Mopar white and black colors as can be seen in the picture. The engine is equipped with the Super 60 package and has a performance computer made especially for this car by MP. This is a very low maintenance car to race and is a lot of fun to drive. The interior is complete with the weight box in the passenger side. All of the lights work but the radio has been removed. The transaxle and converter were done by ProFormance transmissions in Newark Delaware. There are air bags in the rear springs to help with the weight transfer to the front. It also has Autometer Tach, oil pressure, water temperature and turbo boost gauges, OEM seat belts since aftermarket belts are not required in this class, fairly new disc brakes all around and Cragar Centerline wheels on all four corners. The car is clean but there is a mismatched pair of bucket seats in the front. One is the cloth one and the other is leather. The engine and transaxle were fresh for the 2004 season but was only raced twice. It was raced 5 times during the 2005 season and 6 times in 2006. As of the 2007 season the car recorded a best of .97 seconds under the 14.95 B/FS index and in 2005 went 1.04 seconds under. It wasn't raced at all during the 2008 season. This car is a former national record holder and has been low qualifier and class winner many times. The car has not been run hard to minimize wear on the drivetrain but if needed and with a little testing, more performance can be obtained. I have many extra parts for this car that includes block, transaxle, converter, pistons, rods, turbo, wheels, tires, and much more. The car has new slicks as of August of 2007 and won class at the 2007 Keystone Nationals in Reading, PA. I will also consider delivery, depending on location. I can email other pictures if interested.

I will also consider any reasonable offer.

Race season is here, at least on the West coast anyway. This is a turn key race car so all that is needed is a new set of numbers and your helmet.
