I am buying it...I got my 1000 dollar down payment reciept from Dallas yesterday...we worked out a deal so that he would hold it for me until mid September...that's when I will go up there and haul it back....too many projects going on right now is the only reason I don't go get it right now

Congratulations bremereric :eek:ccasion::eek:ccasion::eek:ccasion:

Eric,
I started it last Friday and let it warm up awhile while I mowed some of my lawn. It was tempting to take it for a cruise that night but I was afraid I would hit a deer the way my luck runs. :cry:
Dallas

Long rough trip..
1450 miles later I got back today with the Shelby Dakota..got back home about 2:00 PM. Dallas Rice is a stand up guy and even has collected some part cars and future projects. Pictures taken at his place before I loaded it up and headed back.
One picture shows proof that it is in my driveway. I did drive it around the block and am going to get it legal tomorrow

Boy you cranked out the miles... Was nice meetin ya, And glad you made it home ok.

.......and I sure hated to see her go. But it was time, I guess. My garage sure looks strange without her sitting in the corner.
My consolation is that I couldn't have sold her to a better person. I know you will take very good care of her, probably better than I did.
Glad both of you made it home safely.
Thanks,
Dallas
(Pic below is of a sentimental old man sitting in it for the last time..) :sad8:

Nice truck. If anyone gets the truck try find a set of nice 16" Cragar S/S wheels.

I got it all legal today. Inspection for emissions and two new wiper blades was $63 bucks. Tax, Title, Road and bridge fee and three years worth of tags was the big killer. Texas gets you coming and going on vehicle taxes. It's all legal now with a picture of the plates. My wifey drove it just ten minutes ago and loves it. The steering is nice and tight to. Rack and pinion.
