Overdrive? Never heard of it. However, I did look it up and late models had an overdrive final gear of .73, so I will just shut my mouth now!

Overdrive? Never heard of it. Four speed with a final gear of 1:1 most likely.

Never heard of the overdrive? Third gear is 1 to 1 and fourth is od. Pretty common trans.

yup check out the link on slantsix.org , both units have the 5.125 retainer , they are fine for a street driven application even behind a bigblock (mild) , rebuild kits run about $100 & are available from brewers performance or passon performance as well as other needed parts.

This is making my slant choice bit easier! I believe thats an A833OD, an aluminum case was the the thing that mother mopar did in the 70's seen 'em in the Aspens. I think most of 'em were behind slant sixes. The cases where soft AND tended to weep oil from the case. Do you have any history on em? I think it would be great behind my 225 Duster?
