Ok does anybody know the factory specs for a magnum cam and what is the max lift that a stock magnum head will allow?

I should have told you.Roughly .410 lift on both sides, roughly at.050:intake 190,exhaust 205.109 on the lobe centers.Roughly .510 to .515 with stock retainers.I used the Hughes 1110 springs with matching retainers($175) It is supposed to give you more lift capability, but not positive. The limit to worry at .510 plus is retainer to valve guide clearance.

I have the Hughes 1110 also with the retainers that will allow more lift. I had stock retainers and springs/ My camshaft lift was 498/512 and when I had it assembled with the stock stuff I had about 15-20 thousandths clearance which was a little close for me. The Hughes retainers and springs allow up to 550 lift and and with their retainers they CLAIM that there is enuff clearance for a 600 lift cam.

It should be,I would call first.Or see if someone chimes in.Good cam, should be torquey as hell.
