We attended the Peach City Beach Cruise in Penticton, BC this past weekend. We drove the Dart on the 1000 KM round trip through the mountains, and it ran great until the peak of the Coke, where it had a bit of a miss, from (I assume) the thinner air. I considered rejetting, but the plugs looked normal. I changed the fuel filter once we got to Merritt, because it was pretty dark. The way back was fine though. We had a great time at the show, and met a lot of cool people. I saw a really cool '67 Cuda notchback, 340 4 speed, which I instantly really liked. I ended up speaking with the owner for quite a while, and exchanging numbers. I believe he's a member on this site already. He offered to drive me back to the motel we were staying so we could pick up Carmen and bring her down to where the Dart was parked. Had a ton of comments on the Dart and managed to sell some parts too. Next year we hope to have some more people join us.
I apologize for the quality of some of the pictures, I didn't notice the camera lens had a fingerprint on it..

The owner of this Caddy said the first car he bought new was a '69 Dart Swinger 340 4 speed. He then went on to talk about how they didn't put 6 packs on 340's in the Darts, but they did it for him from the factory because he had 'pull' ... ??? Anyways, the Caddy is a survivor.

This Cuda was VERY clean. Check out the cool 8 track with microphone.

Here are some more.

This was a '74 Duster with a 71 Dart front clip. It had a 383, but some iffy body work. I believe the guy wanted somewhere around $8500 for it.

And they continue.

This '68 Valiant had a Cuda rallye dash in it.

Survivor Imperial with a 413.

Loved this Oldsmobile with the J2 code factory tri power engine.

Here's the '67 Cuda notchback I mentioned earlier. Really cool car, and a fun one to bomb around town in.

This Polara sounded badass.

We were shocked to see this 1928 firetruck driving down the street in the Friday night cruise.

When was the last time you saw a Diamond T?

This Hemi Cuda was at the local show last weekend too.

His and hers.

Cool use of a Buick Nailhead.

And here's the last of them.

These were in the auction section. Apparently there was a 60's Mustang in the auction section that a guy put $40K + into, and when they asked him if he wanted to set a reserve, he said no, because he didn't know what that meant, so some guy bid and won the car for $7,000. Yep, $33,000 less than what the guy wanted.

Back to the show.

I really liked this '59 Dodge Custom Royal.

A 392 Hemi with a blower.. love it.

That's it.

Man, what a BIG show....pics are great ! Almost makes me want to move out west.

Thanks for the share...Getting tired of looking at firebirds and chevells here...

Grassy,

That was only about half the cars there. There were a ton of others that I just couldn't fit onto the camera.

Glad you enjoyed.

Looks like a great show and a beautiful setting for it!
