2026 Charger?

-
I swear I saw one of these on the street somewhere and thought "They finally made it a 2 door..." :)

If they keep it like the electric it's a two door and roomy. Sat in an electric one at a dealership and it had alot of room and the shifter looked like the old slap stick set up. If that all rolls over to the gas ones, it would be awesome.

It looks to me like its Challenger sized but a Charger so I like it I do like the classic B body chargers also but I admit they are big cars the old ones and I've always favored small and nimble bodied cars they are just easier to drive fast

Reportedly they weigh 4800#, so light and nimble they are not.

But the factory is saying 3.9 for 0-60 and 12.2 (I think?) for the 1/4, with the HO motor. So fast-ish?

And they are like 1/4" shy of needing marker lights on the fenders so they are wide. You can get a 305 tire from the factory as an option, so they are effectively a WB without the added flairs the Challengers and previous Chargers needed.

They still cannot get away from that piggish and heavy 300 platform. What they need is a car that represents what started the whole muscle car era. A stripped down, basic 4 wheels and a motor. A Road Runner. Options for no AC, PS, PB, no ABS, no traction control and with roll up windows and just enough electronics to make the engine run. It'll never happen.

@RustyRatRod
Automakers aren’t in the business of selling the cheapest car possible — they’re in the business of maximizing profit per unit. By making base models scarce, minimally appealing, or only slightly cheaper than loaded trims, they steer customers toward the higher-margin versions, often without the customer feeling forced.

This is an all new design, not based on the 300 platform. Which tells me they didn't even try and shed some weight. :BangHead:
Well that makes it even worse. They made it even heavier. That's ridiculous. Chevy and Ford will always be ahead at this pace.

I've seen the recycling of muscle car badges and looks as "too late"/ridiculous since it started. They don't drive at all like there namesake. Give me a 69 with nowhere near enough brakes to stop it. Only air bag is holding the wheel.:steering:

I knew they would have to bulge that hood way up for the gas version. Kudos for a 2 door Charger though. I dig it but will never afford it.

purchase the engine/trans assembly and put it in your favorite early model body. let's see, a 69 or 70 Swinger, 68 Plymouth B-body but not with RR badging, 66 Coronet station wagon...now that would be fun! except for the restrictive rear wheelwells. Let's make it a 68 Plymouth B-body wagon, you can get L60-15's in there!

I'm just gonna say it. It will be the best looking modern piece of **** just like it's electric brother.

Reportedly they weigh 4800#
This fat ***** is heavier than my truck.

I think Hank Hill has the right mindset, and it should be applied cars too.
