273-2 bbl petering out!

My 66 Cuda that I purchased in May seems to peter out and shut down when going down a long decline. Do I have a carb problem? Kerry in Omaha

From what limited information that you have given, it may be a carb/float problem..

Has it been tuned-up yet?

It might be fuel delivery, but not carb. Is the tank full?
If the tank and sender are good, rebuild the carb and make sure the float level and float drop are right.

It was tuned up just before I purchased it. It runs and idles like a champ. That was one of the reasons I bought it. I will find out where they speak Mopar in Omaha. Thanks Kerry

Forgot to mention the tank is full and was the replaced as the first job we tackled. Kerry
