273-340 conversion question

Anyone know if I will experience hood clearance problems when I install my 340 with a Performer intake and Edelbrock carb in place of the old 273 on my 65 Signet? I plan on using a commando 273 air cleaner- 340 disguised as a 273 Commando
BTW- looking for a nice air cleaner for fair price...

no i have a 340 in my 65 barracuda if you have a problem get a pan that sits lower to drop air filter down no hood issues if you do i will trade you mine

I've got a Performer, a Thermoquad and a factory B body dual snorkel air cleaner on a 64 Barracuda and plenty of hood clearance.

No issues here: 340, Holley DP on a Holley Strip Dominator in a '65. STR-12 fits too! Drop based air cleaners are key, even just the bottom.

Thanks guys for input- but I want to use the Commando 273 air cleaner- which is kinda tall.... anyone using it with performer?
