I'm looking for a complete kick down linkage for a 65 273 4 barrel Commando motor w/904 transmission. Let me know what you have and what you're asking. Thx, 65 Plymouth!

If you are willing or able to expand your search, you can ditch the flapper style kickdown used on the 66 and earlier cars and use the 3 piece kickdown that is correct for 68 and later 340 cars! That's what I'm running on my Commando motor!!

If originality is your concern, I wish you luck!! Finding the 4 bbl kickdown from an early A is pretty hard!!

Hello cosgig, thx for the info! my setup is far from original so that's of no concern. I assume the kick down still has to be for a 4 barrel motor?

I think I have what you are looking for, I have to go to the garage and look for something else, I will dig it up and send pics.

I started to restore it a few years back and never finished it . I have all the parts plus the throttle cable bracket, all the parts are off a southern rust free car.

In a more perfect world the first link at the carb would have always had the slot for free throttle return. I don't know exactly what year that safety feature was added or how many collisions, injuries, deaths, had to occur before this simple change. I don't see it in any of those pics above.

I have a ton of parts, I also have the factory parts manuals.
Your pictures are the same and I found someone else looking and had the same pictures.
I will look into it and let you know.
Brian

Check out this picture, 64 - 66 are the same, push button and floor shift are both cable shift.
That's the difference why there is no slot.
