273 head gasket questions

I should have maybe started one thread for all the questions we are going to have.... so cyl head gaskets, have no "up" or "down" marked on them..does it matter?? Also the "destructions" state if it is "steel" backed it needs sealant...if it is fiber backed, none needed. Now to me it looks like this is fiber, as the only steel that is obvious is in the "fire ring".

They are all made the same. One goes on the other goes on, on the flip side. Just make sure they all line up.
 
+1 No sealant needed and line up to the dowels. Clean the head bolts and oil the threads. Or if the manual states new head bolts the get some. Good luck and enjoy the Mopar
 
Thanks everyone!! Dropped by dads tonight and heads are on! Gonna start a new thread about the bolt that has a lube hole in it. I believe it is for the cam gear??
