273 pulleys and brackets on a 360

I am looking into putting a 360 into my 63 Dart.

I will be using the early brackets, front cover and water pump.

My question to the group is will the 273 pulleys line up with the 360 balancer?

I recently did the same thing, The 273 stuff works fine. The only thing you'll notice is you can't use all the bolts on the bottom pulley, the pulley will center up fine on the balancer, there's just one hole that won't line up. Also there is one less hole in the block on the 360 for the front cover. The bolt that goes through the front cover behind the water pump outlet will not be used.

I agree about the crank pulley. Solution is to file out the one hole that is offset in the pulley until all 6 bolt holes line up. THe older pulleys and balancers had a single bolt hole that was offset for some reason, probably to "key" the pulley and balancer together, why ? Not sure, but this filing business works fine and makes zero difference to the balance.
