To change from a 273 LA to a 408 Magnum will my brackets for power steering, air ect. still work or do I need to make new ones for the 408?

Most of the external parts will transfer, but you may need to use spacers and such to get everything lined up. You will also need a 340/360 driver side motor mount and a 360 car oil pan (center sump).

I have a Magnum 408 in my 69 Barracuda and most of the stuff I replaced, but I did reuse the Alternator brackets (with an extra spacer), Power Steering and a few other things. I chose to go with a 70 up timing cover and water pump, otherwise they would have transferred over. BTW the engine in the car was a 318.

Thanks for the reply. I am putting it in a 1965 Cuda.

You will also have an issue with the flexplate and convertor. The 65s have a smaller crank register than anything 66 and up. You will need a new convertor or have yours worked plus a flexplate from a later engine.
