2bbl. Carter Part

Im wondering if there are parts available for this carb. The part on the top of this carb that has the broken piece. It has 3 screws that hold it in place. Im not exactly sure what this piece is but if anyone knows of a place to get it that would be great. Thanks

Perhaps they all look that crusty in MN, but if mine here in CA looked like that, I would be looking for another carb. I got a new Carter BBD for $25 on ebay a few years ago. Adding the vent tube will only help if your charcoal canister is still in place. Indeed, check the ends of all the hoses to it and you may find the tube there.
