3.55 ?

This is why I say get on a bicycle and play with the gears. Doesn't matter how strong your legs are, which gear its in matters more.

I did go up 2 inches on rear tire size this year. Was noticeable--now its "only 3,800" at 70 mph. Taking off from a stop and banging the gears takes a bit longer. However 2nd gear seems more useful. With a 10 inch converter its 35 to 75 easily left in 2nd gear. Left in 2nd it r pulls 35 to 75 a bit quicker but then doesn't have as much kick once in 3rd

This is with 3.91 gears and 27 inch tires..with 3.55, 3rd gear be worst yet and with 3.23, yuk, I be thinking these new sport cars are fast, lol (but 70 mph be much sweeter and the mpg much better)

If it had 4.56 gears it be bad *** but then 100 would be almost 6,000 rpm..why some boys wound their 340's to 7,500 back in the good old days

well i pussed out and went with the 3.23 decent cruise rpm's i feel that on certain days i'm gonna wish i had picked the 3.55 but i never put it on the track. the motor is built but with driving in mind i learned after my 71 cuda i went a little over the top and really didnt get to enjoy the car the same

I have the 3.21's in mine...but I had the 3.55's in the RoadRunner..fro cruising and miles per gallon go with the 3.23'a but for decent mpg+ some more ummph off the line through the gears the 3.55's are hard to beat..they are my favorite gears! When I redo my rear 3.55's are going in,,they cruise on the highway/around town just fine. 3.23's are just fine also ...3.55's are just a bit more fun :)..when you start getting into the 3.91 and up thats more(IMO only of course) a street/ strip gear.

Depending where you are, expressway traffic can move at 75 mph plus. That is were 3.23 are a better gear than 3.55's.

Gas is so expensive too, so best to keep the rpm down on long drives.

Yeah come stoplight to stoplight racing, 3.23 is leaving you short changed..3.55 does better, 3.91's start to rule and 4.10's makes the car feel so light, lol

I got a set of richman 3.23 in my basement, thought they might be coming up this year but nah
