Hello,

I have been having some issues with the 3 prong neutral safety switch leaking. It looks like it's leaking from the pins or through the middle of the switch itself. This is a brand new tranny from Coan racing. I have replaced the switch and get the same results. It has the weird rubberish washer. Has anyone ever heard or seen this? Is there supposed to be an o ring or just the washer on the new style? :banghead:

I've seen old ones leak but they usually last a real long time. As far as the sealing washer, I've used them with both the metal washer and rubber coated washer with no problems. Your problem sounds like defective switches since it's leaking from the middle of the switch itself. AutoZone sells them pretty cheap. You might give one of them a try.

Oh yeah, no O-ring. Just the metal washer

I've had several over the years, including brand new ones,do that. My cure was 2-part epoxy after a very thorough cleaning. On one I used a 3-M product called 1102 I think.I heard they superseded that with 1192.

So did you take the switch apart? I have a 3 pole unit I don't see any epoxy.
