Hello all!
I have a 1972 Duster currently powered with a /6 and 904.
I have recently replaced the stock 7.25 rear with an 8.25 with 3.21 suregrip gears.
I am planning a motor and tranny swap. I want to install a 1973 318 bored 40 over with weiand intake and an Edelbrock #1406 600 cfm carb.
I also want to switch from the 727 to the 3 speed manual synchromesh
tranny.
Can I use the small block 4 speed bell housing on the 3 speed tranny?
Will I need to change the bearing retainer or anything else on tranny or motor?
I want this for street use with some pep when wanted. Maybe a step or 2
above stock.
What would be my best combo as far as clutches, flywheels, etc?
MOPAR or NOCAR!
