308 true or false?

Hey All:

Is it true that the casting number for the 308 heads is not on the runner like other LA mopar heads, and you have to pull the head to see the part number?

I've only seen one set and the number was under the intake runner, not on top of it in the rocker arm area. You can pull just the intake and use an inspection mirror to look underneath the intake runners.

4448308 is on the under side can see with a mirror if the intake is off they only came on 1988 to 1992, 3/4 ton vans only

Hummm... I saw a set on a 360 in a 1/2 ton 1990 Ram pickup. Can't say positively they were original but the engine looked like it had never been changed or even messed with at all.

I just bought a motor that came out of a 91 one ton dually, and it has them.

Cool. Looking at a motor out of an RV. Sounds like they're 308s.
