I have a 1969 Barracuda with a 318. The 2 barrell carb it has is not working too well and am wanting to replace it with a 4 barrell carb. What would I need to do in order to make this conversion? Would I need to get a new intake manifold as well? If I need to get a new intake manifold what else would I need to do?

Intake manifold, throttle cable, kickdown linkage, all different.

Here's photo of one that was changed over.

If you're keeping the original heads, go to an Edelbrock Performer 4 bbl manifold. The RPM and Air Gap models will physically fit, but they are designed for the larger intake ports on the 340 & 360 heads. The point is that you want a manifold for a small port head. The 273 4 bbl manifold is a cast iron, single plane manifold that will work. The manifold from the 318 4 bbl cop car motor has the same problem as the RPM & Air Gap since the engine had 360 heads on it.
