318 - 340 swap

I am building a 340 form my 72 Dart. Originally a /6 I swapped in a 73 k member with the 318. It has spool mounts and am remembering people talking about motor mounts not being the same. So do I need to find different mounts to put the 340 in the car? Thanks

I don't know where you get them. The spool mount's I've seen are actually 318, regardless of what the listing says. You can ACTUALLY just bend the on ear, they are that thin. Normally you would add some washers to one bolt, as I recall, on the driver side.

Passenger side bracket bolts up just fine. Driver's side needs a spacer or stack of washers on one bolt. Piece of cake.

Thanks everyone! I'm no longer concerned about it with a few different ways to address it!

Kinda funny i had to buy a 318 mount since my 340 did not fit my X block. I always have need for the opsite. Took me while to find the 340 one i packed away.
If I would have not located it would have just used a spacer over a stack of washers since i am.putting a 340 back in.
Maybe it's just me but rather have one nice spacer over a stack of washers
