I am building a 318 for my 72 W100 Powerwagon. I need some help picking a cam. Heres the build as of right now:

1971 std. bore block
stock crank, rods, and piston
Melling HV oil pump
Cloyles double roller timing chain
#302 casting heads
Edelbrock performer intake
Holley 600 cfm carb.
Headers w/ 2 1/4" dual exhaust w/ flowmaster super 40's

Also my truck has a 4 spd. manual trans. and 3.91 gears. What would be the best cam for my application???

I'd go with the 272/272, .455/.455 Mopar Performance cam. What size tire does your truck have?

It has 33" tires. And also it is a shortbox stepside truck.

Comp XE262, Hughes HEH1523AL, the smaller 90360 Voodoo, stock 340 cam or something similar. 3.91's and 33's are fairly long legged, I'd go up a notch if you planned on 4.10's. I am running a comp 268H in my truck (1971 Jeep Gladiator, 9.0:1 350 Buick, TH400, 4.10's and 33's) and am about ready to pull it for a grind with 10 degrees less duration at .050 and a tad more lift. But then again, I drag a camper through the mountains... A 318 is really easy to over cam, so unless you are building a high RPM mud blaster, you'll be happier with a short duration cam.
