Ok guys,
Thought I'd better let you guys know.
As it turns out when my son got this car it had an incomplete engine in it, it was basically just a short block in there. We had assumed it was a 360 even though it has flat top pistons in it/ we had heard those 1st couple of years of 360s supposedly came this way as opposed to the dished pistons found in every 360 we have worked on (never had a 71 or 72 version) our bad.
So we won't be needing this after all
As it turns out he got the existing short block out of the car, and as it turns out, whoever had the car before, had put a 318 in. So he's gonna be able to use that pan on his replacement motor! Weird.
