318 help..

-
I used the Engine Quest heads on my 318. Very happy with them so far but i had to change the valve springs because the ones that come on them would bottom out before full valve lift. I guess I should have bought the heads bare and gone from there. I'm running the Comp XE268H cam but would like to try out a Comp 280H. Has the same lift but more duration. Hot Rod Magazine built a similar setup with better pistons and made 400 hp.

Okay, i belive we have 95 octane and 98 octane, but its only on bigger pumpstations ;)

On smaler stations only 95 octane is available ;)

Be careful when using European octane numbers; google it. The Euro numbers are Research octane number (RON) only, and in the US, we use the average of RON and MON, which is typically 5-6-7 points lower.

Biffelina, do you mind running 98 octane or do you need to be able to run 95 octane?

And I am curious: Do they still run the big FIA rally in Sweden in winter?

OK.... your 95 is more like our 91 or 89 octane.

OK on the rally thing. I think you should enter your 318 car in a rally Ha Ha......
