318 with S stamp??

has anyone ever heard of a 318 with an S stamped on the block, i heard someone claim the other day they have this and called it a 318 HD with 345 HP. the most hp ive ever seen from a factory 318 was the one in the 57 fury with 2 fours that was a factory 290hp, but to my knowledge that was the highest hp 318 ever made. anyone know anything about this?

Where is the stamp supposed to be?

I call b.s. on this one, but i've been wrong before.
Maybe it's someone that is confused about a ''S'' code GTS Dart with a 340 that is a LA block that is similar externally to a 318?

From what I can find, the "S" probably means it's a cop motor between '83 and '89. Check the date code. If so, not anything real special. I have one in my shop. If I remember correctly, somewhere around 150-170 HP.

Well....I can tell you fo sho and fo certain there ain't ever been a 345 horse 318. At least not an LA version. If so, there would have been no reason to make the 340. Or the 383 for that matter.
