Can anybody tell me if they think my 318 has an aftermarket cam or not?

Can't say for sure, but if it does, its small.

Light cam if any.

Looks like you have an intake and 4 barrel already. sounds like maybe a single exhaust with manifolds? Get a bigger yet appropriate sized cam, go with some better manifolds or headers and a dual exhaust. Then lay some rubber!:burnout:

Yes it has an intake (ld4b) and 4 barrel (edelbrock 650 I believe) its also stock heads according to the castings just plain Jane heads it does have dual exhaust with manifolds. I'm running two 2 chamber turbo mufflers 2.25 pipe to the mufflers 2.5 out. Electronic conversion in the distributor with a MSD 6A box.

Here's my 318 with a "Thumper" by CompCams (video was taken on first start up after rebuilding engine nothings dialed in just yet)

The sound on the vid was a little low for this old man, but unless the timing is retarded, i'd say it's a little above stock.......a little. The stock 318 broomstick gives more of a mild blub blub at idle......:D.

Like the other guys said if it does it isn't much bigger than stock. May even be retarded timing and/or carb out of tune. The way it hesitates when you give it the gas it wouldn't surprise me if it's a stock cam and just out of tune.

The timing is not retarded at all it's pretty close to 20 BTDC that hesitation is because I had just started it. It was not fully at operating temperature. The car pulls pretty hard until the high RPM's. I don't have a tach on it yet so I couldn't really say where it falls off at.

To me it sounds pretty much stock just a little out of tune on the carb I can hear it has dual exhaust and from the sound no crossover pipe but don't think it has anything above a stock cam

Ok. If it was idling like that cause it was cold it probably smooths' out when warmed up, right? If that's the case lets here it warmed up. That'd tell us more.

I had to listen twice, but I'm sure it is mis-firing on cylinder number 7, plus the timing is slightly off. When it hits 2,350 RPM's the mis-fire indicates a plug gap issue. Maybe the canuter valve should be checked / replaced. I'm not positive about this, but I also detect a slight problem with the thermostat opening a little too early... But just my opinion :)
