how much hp do you guys think a factory 340 block will hold with no pouring but it has main studs?

I would say around 500hp is what they probably take before having cap walk issues.

My 340 based 416 stroker is pushing 520+ h.p. no issues i'm aware of yet with the block..the Eagle rods i used are a different story.:angry7::angry7:

Been running 580hp, and 600lbs of torque out of a 340 block, 419c.i motor.... low rpm though, at 5900.... and just raced 3000+ miles and countless amounts of drag racing without a single problem....

but then again, that's just my experience

is that the dart from bullrun, great looking car anyway:toothy10:

i no you can't say how you did but did you make us proud at fabo, and is the dart sub lime or sassy grass?:blob:
