Well people I got what wanted. 71' 340 what to do with it? Picked it up for 800.00 . I want to make it streetable run on pump gas and do burn outs. Keep it stock with a cam put in 2.02 valves ? Its going into a 74' dart swinger 318 car. Did a search on 340 not alot to be found. Give me a list on my options any help appreciated . Thank You
 
If its a '71 the heads should already have 2.02/1.60 valves in them,if all you want to do is play on the street a rebuild with a hotter then stock cam should be fine...
 
You could put a small solid cam into it, like the comp xtreme 272 solid.
Get an ld340 or rpm manifold, stock 340 manifolds or headers and an msd ignition with a dialed in curve for the combo.

Thats about all it takes.
