I have a stock camshaft and lifters out of a 340. block block is dated 11-17-69. I have someone interested in buying them and wanted to know about how much they are worth. Could someone let me know what I should ask for them. They all look to be in good shape.

Thanks
Nic

Hopefully, you have the lifters in order to go back on the same lobes. Otherwise, just give it to him. I tried this when I was young, and a couple of lobes just ground off in no time. Maybe someone on here has a trick to breaking them back in?

$50 for the cam and throw the lifters away. The new owner can use new lifters on the old cam, but old lifters are bad news. New lifters on the used cam and run a normal 20-30 min break-in like you would a new cam. Make sure to pre-lube the cam and lifters well. No worries...

Yes, what Hotwheels said. It will work just fine. Use Diesel oil to break in new lifters. Terry.
