[WANTED] 340 forged crank

Looking for a 340 forged crankshaft for my 73 340. I just prefer internal balance. please PM me if you have one. I live in Oceanside CA for shipping calculation.

The 340 cranks are balanced for the heavy Factory forged pistons.
If you're contemplating other lighter slugs, you may be better off with a forged 318 crank.
I think there's something like 120 grams difference per. Yeah, the 69 FSM lists 592 vs 719=127 gms.
340 Hyper are listed at 585 in the KB catalog, almost perfect for the teener crank..

Agreed a 318 forged crank will also work. I plan on using Diamond pistons

Interesting info. I put (OEM) high-comp. pistons in my '73 stock engine - with no aftermarket balancing and still orig. cast crank and balancer. Now 45 k. miles in 25 years and never an issue.

Jeez. I missed that. All those weight figures left me in a state of confusion. 340's definitely used only (cast) autothermic alloy tin-coated pistons.
