340 fuel pump keep up ??

Looking to dump the electric pump and go back to a stock simpler type set up. Will a stock 340 pump keep up with 450hp 6 pack? Any good aftermarket hi volume pumps that do not need a regulator? Thanks

Not sure what mechanical pump is on my 418 six-pack, I believe that it keeps up. Having said that, I have a Carter 6270 on order, they are not available till mid July.
Pricey too.

I have a Carter 6270 pump on my 340. No problems at all. It keeps up even with the nos hooked to it.

The Carter 6270 should do it but you'll be on the edge of the pressure pushing the float needle off of the seat. May be tough finding one though. The Holley's will take a bit more pressure than an Eddy will. Used them racing years ago, never ran out of fuel at high RPM's but every setup can be a bit different.
