So since I've got a 67 Dart, and a 340 engine. I'd like to dress it like a 273. I know the finned covers will bolt on if I find some, but I'm concerned about the air cleaner base? I'm currently running a 650 DP w/ a 14" drop base plate. I dont think a stock 273 base will work? If I ran a Edelbrock 650 AVS carb would it work?

Let me know what you guys are running? Post pics if you have 'em of your OG 273's or clones...

Also, anyone with finned covers or an air cleaner they like to sell? Just PM me...

Thanks!

Dont know. I know the center hole in the air cleaner for Carter AFB is smaller than most. Some modification required.
You really only need the fins and Eastwoods wrinkle finish paint. The fins are glued onto the same sheetmetal covers.

The later AFB/AVS uses the same air cleaner base as the Holley. I believe '67 or '68 was the last year for the small base Carters. You will probably have to modify your stock base or make a custom base.
