[SOLD] 340 Motor for sale

I have a 1970 340 engine that has been apart since 2004. Overall good condition, heads look great and probably just need to be inspected. It had loose main bearings which is why I didn't use it at the time. My son took ownership but he is no longer able to complete his dream. Its complete less the valve covers, I'm asking $2500 for it, it will be a pick up only in Macomb Michigan (48042). Thanks for looking.

I was told it was, I'm not an engine guy so I really don't know. The parts are good from what my friend told me and the heads look like they just need to be checked for 100% surety.

You showed me nothing I asked about. I asked about the valve sizes and while you stated the size, you didn’t show me the valve where I can see them in the chamber where the pertinent information is confirmed.

You did show me there both 915 heads with different cast letters of “F” & “H” leading me to think they’re not the original heads. If is such the case, was the J head(s) a OEM 1.88 or did the 2.02’s get installed later on.

Then I asked if the crank has been cut and you replied to a yes or no question with……


“ I don’t believe so”

Just honest my girl!! Truth hurts the weak. Engine sold so we will now part ways, enjoy!!
