340 vin number on the oil pan rail

Trying to identify or brake down a vin # on a 1970 340 - stamped on lower oil pan rail UB291704 what car was this in? the casting # is 2780930 -340 -2 night shift 1/8/70 @3am front block stamp #FW340P31560396.Any help would be great thanks MOSSBACK .

First off it's not a U, it's an 0

B is Hamtramk. In 70, they built E-bodies and Valiants So, maybe in a 340 Duster (Valiant Duster in 70), but much more likely a Challenger or E-body Cuda.
Approximately the middle of 70 production run, by vin # and casting date.
More than that? Nope.
(Edit: a challenger 340 would be an A66 car in 70. An A66 group site might have a list of the vins, maybe. A true longshot)

Not likely a challenger as the numbers right before it are TA challenger, different block all together

It's a zero...scratch it with a pick at the top and it will turn into a zero. At first glance, it does appear to be a U.
