does anyone have a way of finding 35 36 total timing and marking it on the dampener ive heard something like 1.5 inches past the tdc mark....im running a vacuum advance mag pick up nd the motors got a lot of cam so i dint have a whole lot of vacuum

search "Hillbilly timing tape"

There's an easy way to mark the damper.

About 2 1/4" for a 7 1/4" harmonic balancer. To be more exact 36 degrees is 1/10 th the circumference (distance around) the balancer, or 2.28".

.................The right way to do it is accurately measure around the outside of the balancer with a flexible tape, and then figure how many "degrees per inch" Even an ol' guy like me can figure it out. You cannot measure the distance with dividers, you must use a tape.

It's 1/4 inch for each 5 degrees if I remember right.
I measured between the marks that were on the Damper already and continued on around the damper with those measurments.

And let's hope that outer ring is still where God and Ma MoPar intended it to be. :D
