My present set up is a slant 6..and I am not sure what the 3 speed trans is nor what size the back axel is but the car is a '75 duster.

Will I be able to use my existing drive shaft to will i need to cut it down ? ..and by how much ?

Thanks

you'll have to cut the driveshaft. you most likely have a 7 1/4 rear.

Grassy, because the centerline of the axle to centerline of rear u-joint
is 2.25" longer in an 8 3/4 than a 7 1/4 that is how much you have to shorten
the driveshaft. I did this swap in my Valiant about a year ago. Went from
a /6 to a 360-727-8 3/4.

Great, I am doing the same...I will just double check that the old rear end is a 7 1/4....I thought about holding the driveshaft up while under the car but I didn't think it would be accurate enough, 2 1/4 it will be.

Thanks
