360 auto motor to 4 speed.. what to do

would my machine shop be able to machine the crank for the pilot bearing? i was also told i would have to cut down my a833 input shaft to get it to fit, whats the real deal on getting these together? thank you
 
The thing you need to do is mock it up and measure the depth of the pilot hole, it might be deep enough.

IF the hole is undersize, the easiest way around this is to NOT use the older bushing that goes in the original bore, but rather use the new one which fits in the large torque converter pilot. These come in either bushing or roller bearing
